About Us

Retrofit West Advice is a West of England Combined Authority project. It is part of a wider retrofit project that aims to build the supply chain, supporting local businesses and delivering green skills development for residents.

Our mission is to support homeowners across the West of England to accelerate the transition to low-carbon housing and building retrofit. Retrofit West is aimed at addressing the challenges of rising energy prices and reducing carbon emissions to reach the West of England’s net zero target by 2030.

Retrofitting is a crucial tool in the fight against climate change and benefits for the community, including reducing carbon emissions, improving energy efficiency, creating local jobs, and improving the health and well-being of residents.

The Combined Authority is funding the project through its Green Recovery Fund, a £60m pot to help meet the region’s climate and ecology ambitions. For more details on our net zero and nature recovery plans see their Climate & Ecological Strategy & Action Plan.
